Layers of Wonders



Layers of Wonders has surprises in every layer.

With left over rotis/flat breads, you can make a delicious dish for you kids or loved ones.

Ingredients for Layers of Wonders:


  • Roti/flat bread - 3
  • Baby corn -1/2 cup, chopped
  • Onions - 1 cup, finely sliced
  • Carrots - 1 cup, julienne
  • Tomato/Capsicum - 1/2 cup (Optional), chopped
  • Cauliflower - 1 cup, chopped
  • Cheese - 1.5 cup, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, chopped
  • Chilli powder
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Ketchup - 2 tsp
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Butter
For Cutlets:

  • Raw banana/ Potatoes - 1 cup
  • Fresh cottage cheese - 1/2 cup
  • Chilli powder
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion - 1, finely chopped
  • Salt, as per taste

Let's follow the steps:


  • Take a pan, put some butter and add garlic, followed by onions.
  • Once the onions are soft and pink in colour, add the rest of the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle some salt, chilli powder and mix well. Fry the vegetables.
  • Lastly, add cumin powder and ketchup. Mix well.
  • Once the veggies are done, keep the veggies aside and let it cool.
For Cutlets:

  • Boil raw banana till soft.
  • Mash the raw banana and mix it will cottage cheese.
  • Add all the ingredients and make small balls. Press the balls in flat.
  • Shallow fry these cutlets in a pan.
  • Now take 3 fried rotis/flat breads. 
  • Start layering. First, take a roti/flat bread, and put fried veggies on it.
  • Put grated cheese on top of it.
  • Put another layer of roti/flat bread. Place the cutlets on it. (You can also put some sliced cucumber before placing the cutlets).
  • Now put another layer of roti/flat bread. Repeat it with veggies and grated cheese.
  • Now microwave it for 3 to 6 minutes till cheese gets melted.
  • Or you can place it in a pan and cover it with a lid. Keep the flame low.
  • After 5 minutes, cheese will start melting. 
  • Serve it hot to your loved ones..
