Baingan (Brinjal) Bharwa



Baingan ka bharwa with peanuts is a must try dish. So let's start.



Ingredients for Baingan ka Bharwa:


  • Small brinjals (baingan) - 6
  • Peanuts - 1 bowl
  • Onions - 1 bowl, chopped
  • Ginger - chopped
  • Aamchur powder - 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin seeds- crushed
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tsp
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Oil
  • Water
  • Coriander leaves

Let's follow the steps:


  • Wash the brinjals and cut it from the centre. Do not cut the brinjal into half.
  • Roast peanuts in a flat pan till it turns brown. Let the peanuts cool down.
  • Remove the skin of the peanuts and grind the peanuts roughly in a mixer.

  • Heat oil in a hot pan. Add ginger, roasted cumin seeds and onions. Fry till onions turns soft.
  • Add peanuts and all spices, salt and mix well. Add the sugar.
  • Once bharwa is done, take it off the flame.
  • Now stuff the brinjals with the peanut masala.
  • Heat some oil in pan, put the stuffed brinjals and also put the remaining masala.
  • Cook the brinjals. Add 1 cup of water and cook well till brinjals are soft and nicely done.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with roti/rice.

Papdi Chaat


Papdi Chaat is a famous street food in India. It is full of flavours of curd. sweet chutney, and different spices.

But sometimes, it is better to have the same tasty food in our home rather than having it outside. So, lets begin with the recipe. You can buy ready made Golgappa Puri from market and than make Papdi Chaat of it.


Ingredients for Papdi Chaat:




  • Puris (golgappe)
  • Boiled Potatoes - 1 bowl
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Rock salt, as per taste
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves - 1/2 bowl
  • Pomegranate seeds (anar dana) - 1/2 bowl
  • Sev
  • Aamchur Chutney/Tamarind Chutney
  • Curd
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp

Let's follow the steps:


  • Mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl and add chilli powder, chaat masala, chopped coriander leaves, lemon juice, rock salt and mix well. 
  • Take curd in another bowl and add chilli powder, salt, & sugar and mix well till the curd becomes smooth.

  • Now place the puris in a plate and make a whole in the centre. Put mashed potatoes, then curd and aamchur/ imli ki chutney.
  • Put lots of sev on the top and sprinkle chaat masala, chilli powder and rock salt. 
  • Garnish it with anaar dana (pomegranate seeds) and coriander leaves.

Aamchur/ Mango powder Chutney



Khatti meethi chutney is served in all types of chaats in India. Mostly, we all know it is made of tamarind (imli) but when you do not have tamarind at home, then how will you make the khatti meethi chutney??

So here's my recipe for khatti meethi chutney which is made with aamchur powder or mango powder and jaggery. Very easy and quick recipe, and I would say it tastes better than the imli ki chutney.


Ingredients for Aamchur Chutney:

  • Aamchur - 1/2 cup
  • Jaggery (Gur) - 150 gms
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds , roasted - 1tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Rock salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  • Water - 5 to 6 cups

Let's follow the steps:


  • Take a steel sauce pan and put 5-6 cups of water and mix aamchur powder. Mix well.
  • Put on the flame and keep the flame low to medium.
  • Add the jaggery and keep stirring it with a spoon. Also, add all the spices and salt.
  • Let the chutney boil and stir it occasionally.
  • Taste the chutney, if required add sugar and salt. Mix it.
  • Chutney will change colour from light brown to dark brown colour.
  • Keep boiling and let the chutney get thicker. Once done, turn off the flame.
  • Your chutney is ready.

Palak/Spinach Soup


Hi Guys,

With chilling and freezing winters everybody needs some hot, tasty and at the same time healthy Soup.

Palak Soup has lots of healthy vegetables and you can enjoy it with hot Momos or boiled noodles.





Ingredients for Palak Soup:

  • Palak/spinach - 1 bowl, roughly chopped
  • Carrots - 1/2 bowl, sliced
  • Tomatoes - 1/2 bowl, chopped
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped
  • Scallions (Onion leaves) - 1/2 bowl, chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch, sliced
  • Butter - 2 tsp
  • Egg white - 1
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper - 1.5 tsp
  • Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water - 4 cups

Let's follow the steps:


  • Wash and cut vegetables.
  • Heat cooker and add butter. Saute garlic and ginger. 
  • Then add onions and all the vegetables. Saute the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle crushed black pepper, Tabasco sauce, salt and sugar. Mix well.
  • Now pour water and cover the cooker with lid.
  • Wait till 2 whistles. 
  • After 2 whistles, remove the lid and maintain a low flame.
  • Put egg white and within 2 minutes stir the soup so that egg white breaks in small pieces.
  • Now serve the hot soup with Momos or else you can put boiled noodles in the soup.

Moong Dal Dosa


Hello Friends!

A Very Happy New Year!

So this new year I am here with easy, quick, healthy and tasty breakfast dish. Let's start with the steps:



Ingredients for Moong Dal Dosa:


  • Moong Dal - 1 cup
  • Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water
  • Chilli powder
  • Oil/Butter

Let's follow the steps:



  • Soak Moong dal and rice separately for atleast 5 hours.
  • Wash the dal and rice and drain water.
  • Make a smooth paste in blender by adding some water.
  • Combine both the paste and mix chilli powder & salt, as per taste.
  • Add more water to make it pouring consistency.
  • Heat pan and brush some oil or butter.
  • Now pour the batter in the centre of the pan and quickly spread (clockwise) with round serving spoon.
  • Add more drops of oil or butter in the sides of dosa and on the top of dosa.
  • Wait till it gets crisped then turn the dosa.
  • Your crisp dosa is ready.
  • Serve it with peanut chutney.
For Peanut Chutney:

  • Fry the peanuts on a flat pan without oil till peanuts turn light brown.
  • Remove the skin of the peanuts.
  • Take a small jar of mixer, add green chilli, onion (optional), salt, peanuts and water.
  • Make a paste and take it out in a bowl
  • Heat oil, add mustard seeds and green curry leaves and pour on the peanut chutney and mix it.
  • Peanut chutney is ready.


Serve Crisp Dosa to your loved ones!
