Stuffed Bread


Hot, Fresh and Crisped Home made Bread stuffed with onions, garlic and lots of cheese.

Lets start with the steps:


Ingredients for Stuffed Bread:


  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Dry yeast - 2 tsp
  • Milk - 1 cup, lukewarm
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Butter - 50 gm
  • Egg - 1
  • Salt, as per taste

For Filling:

  • Cheese, grated - 1 bowl
  • Onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 5- 6 cloves, chopped
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Black pepper powder

Let's follow the steps:





  • In a bowl sift flour and add beaten egg,butter, sugar, salt, yeast and half of the milk.
  • Wait for 2 minutes, so that yeast gets activated.
  • Now mix all the ingredients and keep adding milk as required to knead a soft dough.
  • Keep the dough covered with a wet cloth for 45 min to 1 hour.
  • You will see a rise in the dough.
  • Now again knead the dough for 5 minutes. Take a portion of the dough.
  • Roll it in a plain surface. 
  • Put onions, garlic, coriander leaves, cheese and sprinkle pepper powder in the middle.
  • Now as shown in the picture, cut the sides of the flatten bread and design it like a braid.
  • Beat another egg, and brush egg on the bread. Keep the bread in a flat bowl.
  • Take a cooker, remove the whistle and put salt in the bottom of the cooker.
  • Place a stand and on that stand keep the bowl with stuffed bread.
  • Bake it for 40 minutes at low flame till golden brown and slight crisp.
  • Keep checking the bread after 20 minutes, to avoid over bake.
  • You can also bake it in oven at 220°C for 15 - 20 minutes.

Suji Cake (Semolina)



Hi Friends!!

So in India, there are lots of festivals coming around in the next few months. And you can make this quick, tasty and healthy sweet for your loved ones.

Lets start with the preparation.



Ingredients for Suji Cake:


  • Suji (Semolina) - 1.5 cups,
  • Sugar - 1 cup, powdered
  • Butter - 30 - 40 gms
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Almonds, sliced
  • Raisins
  • Salt, a pinch

Let's follow the steps:





  • Take a bowl and put suji (semolina), sugar, salt, baking powder, cardamom powder and butter. Mix well.
  • Next add, curd and mix well. Pour milk and make a cake batter.
  • Add and mix all the dry fruits.
  • Keep the cake batter for 30 to 40 minutes. 
  • After 40 minutes the batter will soak the milk, add more milk to make the batter light. (Just like cake batter).
  • Take cooker without whistle and put salt in the bottom of the cooker. Keep a stand and on that stand place the cake bowl.
  • Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes. Check by pricking a toothpick if it comes clean that your cake is done.


Cut the cake in small pieces and serve your loved ones!!

Tomato Soup with Bread sticks


Tomato Soup is the first soup I knew and of course it is favourite of all.

Cooked with fresh tomatoes, and cream enriches the sweet and sour taste.



Ingredients for Potato Souffle:


  • Tomatoes - 4, roughly chopped
  • Onions - 2, sliced
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves, chopped
  • Carrot - 1, sliced
  • Black pepper corn - 5
  • Sugar - 1.5 tsp
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water, as required
  • Cornflour (optional)
  • Cream - 1 tbsp
Bread Sticks:

  • Cut thin stripes of bread and brush with butter on each side.
  • Bake it at 200°C for 15 minutes till crisped.

Let's follow the steps:


  • Heat oil and butter in a pan.
  • Add chopped garlic. Also, add onions and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Now add carrots and roughly chopped tomatoes and cook till soft.
  • Add black pepper corn.
  • Pour water and cook for more 5 minutes.
  • Once done, turn off the flame and let the tomatoes cool down.
  • Separate the extra water and keep aside.
  • Pour the tomatoes in a mixer and make a smooth puree.
  • Now again heat the pan and add the tomato puree in the pan. Also, add salt and black pepper powder. 
  • Pour the extra soup water which was kept separated.
  • You can add cornflour mixed in a 2 tbsp of water for making the soup thick.
  • Lastly, add sugar and cream for a smooth texture.
  • Serve hot with bread sticks.

Potato Souffle


Souffle is a egg based dish, very light, heavy and palatable.

Potato Souffle is very easy to bake and I have used cooker for baking it.



Lets start with the steps:

Ingredients for Potato Souffle:


  • Potatoes - 4, medium sized
  • Egg - 2
  • Cheese - 1 bowl, grated
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bowl, chopped
  • Salt
  • Oregano
  • Chilli flakes
  • Bread crumbs
  • Butter
  • Onions - 1, chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch, chopped
  • Black pepper powder

Let's follow the steps:



  • Boil the potatoes and mash it.
  • Take a pan, add butter and saute garlic, ginger and onions.
  • Add sauteed ginger, garlic, onions, and coriander leaves to the mashed potatoes.
  • Sprinkle salt, chilli flakes, black pepper powder, and oregano.
  • Also, add grated cheese. Mix well.
  • Now separate egg yolk and white and put egg yolks to the mashed potatoes.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff and foamy.
  • Add the beaten egg whites to the mashed potatoes and again with the help of a spatula mix it slowly.
  • Take a baking bowl, grease it with butter and sprinkle bread crumbs to every corner of the bowl.
  • Now pour the mixture in the bowl.
  • In a pressure cooker, put salt - 1 cup and place a stand inside the cooker.
  • Heat the cooker for 5 minutes and then place the bowl on the stand.
  • Cover it with the lid. (Do not use whistle.)
  • Bake it for 25 - 30 minutes at low flame.
  • Once it gets golden brown color, let it cool down and take it out of the bowl with the help of a knife.

2 in 1 Phirni


Phirni is a rice pudding, very creamy, chilled and delicious.

Phirni is loved by almost everybody in India. 

2 in 1 Phirni consists of two types of Phirni in one bowl. Lets start with this recipe, to cook a lovely Phirni.

Ingredients for 2 in 1 Phirni:


  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Milk - 1 Litre
  • Condensed Milk - 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Almonds, sliced
  • Cashew nuts, sliced
  • Palm jaggery - 100 gms
  • Earthen pots, to serve

Let's follow the steps:


  • Soak the rice for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Drain out water and crush the rice in a grinder. (coarse paste of rice)
  • Take a deep sauce-pans. Pour 500 ml milk in the pan and boil it.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Add half of coarse rice paste and sliced almonds. Keep stirring the milk.
  • Cook for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Once the rice gets boiled, add condensed milk and mix well.
  • Lastly, add cardamom powder and mix well till milk thickens and gets creamy. 
  • Bring it down and let it cool.
  • Take another sauce-pan, pour 500 ml of milk.
  • Bring it to a boil and stir occasionally.
  • After 5 minutes, add half cup of coarse rice paste and keep stirring the milk.
  • Cook for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Once the rice gets boiled, add palm jaggery and mix well till it gets melted.
  • If required, add more jaggery as per taste.
  • Cook the Phirni till it gets creamy and thick.
  • Let it cool.
  • Now take earthen pots, pour half Phirni of condensed milk and on other half pour Phirni of Palm Jaggery.
  • Garnish it with Cashew nuts and refrigerate it.
Serve chilled Phirni.

Imli Ki Chutney (Tamarind Sauce)



Tamarind Sauce/Imli ki Chutney is a combination of two dominant tastes - sweet and sour.

In India, Imli ki chutney is widely used in different snacks. I used it for my Basket Chaat.

Though you can buy it ready-made from the market, but it is always better to make it at your home fresh and hygienic. You can also store it for month in a glass container and refrigerate it.



Lets start with the steps:

Ingredients for Imli ki Chutney:


  • Tamarind - 50 gm
  • Jaggery - 100 gm
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp
  • Anise powder (Saunf) - 1 tbsp
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water

Let's follow the steps:




  • Wash the tamarind with hot water.
  • Mash and soak the tamarind in 1 glass of fresh water for overnight.
  • Next day strain out the tamarind remains including seeds from the pulp.
  • Now take a deep pan, pour the pulp and keep it on medium flame.
  • Add 1/2 glass of water. Let it boil.
  • On the other hand, in a flat pan, fry cumin seeds without oil.
  • Slightly crush the cumin seeds.
  • Once tamarind pulp gets boiled, add anise powder, cumin seeds and salt.
  • After 2 minutes, add pieces of jaggery and mix well.
  • Add sugar and mix well. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • Check for the sweetness. If required, add more jaggery or sugar.
  • If you want a thick sauce, keep it boiling. Else, for a thin consistency switch off the flame.
  • Once the sauce/chutney is sweet and thick, bring it down from the flame. 
  • Let it cool.
You can use this chutney later and store it in refrigerator.

Bun Trove


Bun Trove is yummy and will fill your mouth with different flavours.



Ingredients for Bun Trove:




  • Small buns/ Pav - 6 pieces
  • Butter
  • Cheese, grated
  • Spring onions, chopped

For Chicken filling:

  • Boneless Chicken - 100 gm, minced
  • Capsicum - 1, chopped
  • Onion - 1, chopped
  • Ginger paste - 1.5 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 1.5 tsp
  • Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
  • Oregano - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
For Soya chunks filling:

  • Soya chunks - 1 cup
  • Capsicum - 1, chopped
  • Onion - 1, chopped 
  • Ginger paste - 1.5 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 1.5 tsp
  • Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
  • Oregano - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil
  • Butter - 1 tsp
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
  • Water - 3 tbsp

Let's follow the steps:


  • Take the buns and cut the top portion of the bun.
  • Scoop the centre of the lower part of bun and make empty space in the centre with a knife (as shown in picture).
  • Now start making the filling, take a pan and heat oil.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, onions and capsicum. Fry till soft.
  • Add chicken and cook well.
  • Sprinkle salt, chilli flakes, cumin powder, tomato sauce and oregano.
  • Put butter and mix well.
  • Cover it with a lid. Let it cook for 2 minutes till soft.
  • Once done, take it off the flame.

  • Similarly, cook the soya chunks filling.
  • Then, stuff the filling in the centre of the buns and top it with grated cheese.
  • Take a toothpick, put it in the upper half of the bun and cover it from the top (as shown in the picture).
  • Repeat the steps for all the bun.
  • Brush butter on the buns.
  • Bake the buns at 180°C for 15 - 20 minutes till crisped.

Veg Sandwich


Sandwich is one of the easiest and light breakfast or snacks.

Goodness of vegetables yet tasty and light. Let's begin with the steps:



Ingredients for Veg Sandwich:


  • Cucumber - 2, slices
  • Capsicum - 1, slices
  • Onions - 2, sliced
  • Tomatoes - 2, slices
  • Potatoes - 2, boiled
  • Chilli flakes
  • Salt
  • Cheese cubes, grated
  • Brown bread - 1 pack
  • Butter
  • Black pepper powder
  • Salt, as per taste

Let's follow the steps:


  • Take boiled potatoes, add chilli flakes, salt and black pepper powder and mash the potatoes.
  • Keep aside the mashed potatoes.
  • Now take bread slice and spread the butter.
  • Place onions, cucumber slices, tomato slices, capsicum slices and mashed potatoes.
  • Put grated cheese.
  • Top it with another slice of bread.
  • Grill the sandwich with butter.

Orange & Watermelon Popsicle


Popsicle is the most craving dish in this hot summers.

The good thing about my Popsicle - it is full of nutrition, as it contains fresh fruit juices.

Healthy + Tasty + Icy = Popsicle

Let's begin with the steps:


Ingredients for Orange & Watermelon Popsicle:


  • Watermelon - 1 cup, cubes
  • Orange - 1 cup
  • Caster sugar - 1 cup
  • Small glass
  • Skewer sticks


Let's follow the steps:


  • Remove watermelon seeds and put the water melon cubes in a mixer or juicer and make juice.
  • Strain the water melon juice and keep it aside.
  • Similarly, remove seeds from orange and make orange juice.
  • Strain the orange juice and pour it in a glass.
  • As required, add sugar as per taste and stir well.
  • Now take a small glass and hold it tilted/slantly and pour watermelon juice.
  • Place it in a ice tray in the same position (tilted) and freeze it.
  • After  1 hour, push a skewer stick (or you can use toothpick) in the centre of the glass.
  • After 1 hour, once watermelon juice is nicely freezed, pour the orange juice and now place the glass normally.
  • Let it freeze for few more hours.
  • Take the glass out and after 5 minutes pull the Popsicle out.

Basket Chaat


Hello Friends!!

Today's recipe - Basket Chaat.

Chaat is a savory snacks, which is served at road-side stalls and food carts in India. Chaat is mix of different flavours and is delicious in taste.




So let's start with the steps:

Ingredients for Basket Chaat:


  • Potatoes - 2, grated
  • Boiled potatoes - 2
  • Chick peas, boiled
  • Tomato - 1, chopped
  • Onion - 1, chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, chopped
  • Green chilli - 1, chopped
  • Chaat Masala
  • Cumin seeds
  • Cumin powder
  • Chilli powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Sugar
  • Tamarind chutney (sauce)
  • Papdi (Fried Crisps)
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Coriander leaves, chopped
  • Sev namkeen, to garnish
  • Oil

Let's follow the steps:


  • Heat oil in a pan and put cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, and green chillies. Fry for 1 minute.
  • Now add chopped onions and fry till soft. Once onions are cooked, add tomatoes.
  • Next put boiled potatoes with turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and chaat masala.
  • Mix all the ingredients and mash the potatoes. Add boiled chick peas.
  • Fry potatoes for 5 minutes.

  • Grate potatoes and keep it in a bowl with water.
  • Take the grated potatoes and squeeze out all the water.
  • Place the grated potatoes in a stainless steel strainer all over.
  • Top it with another small strainer, so that it  becomes firm and forms a basket shape.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • Fry the basket till golden brown and crisped.
  • Once done, take it out in a plate.

  • Take curd in a bowl, add sugar and chilli powder in it. Whisk it till smooth.
  • Place the basket in a plate, fill it with the mashed potatoes filling.
  • Put crushed papdis over it.
  • Top it with curd and tamarind chutney.
  • Tips: You can also put tomato sauce also
  • Sprinkle Chaat masala over it.
  • Garnish it with sliced onions, chopped coriander leaves, sev namkeen and pomegranate seeds.


Serve Hot & Crispy!!

Biscuit Swiss Roll


Swiss Rolls is a dessert which kids love the most. Today I am gonna make Swiss roll with biscuits available at home. Goodness of biscuit, milk, butter, and dry fruits all are in it. Also, chocolate which is favorite of all.

This recipe can be served as dessert in your home party and the good thing is preparation for Swiss roll will take only 30 minutes.

Also, this is an vegetarian recipe.

So let's begin:


Ingredients for Swiss Rolls:

  • Biscuits (Marie biscuit) - 10 pieces - 1 cup
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar powdered - 1/2 cup
  • Hershey's Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  • Coffee powder - 1 tsp
  • Milk, to knead a dough
For filling:

  • Amul Fresh cream - 1 cup
  • Sugar powder - 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Chocolate chips
  • Black Raisins
  • Almonds

Let's follow the steps:


  • Grind biscuits to a fine powder.
  • Put powdered biscuits, sugar, coffee powder, Cocoa powder and butter in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Now keep on adding milk, to knead a soft dough. Do not make a wet dough.
  • Take another bowl, add cream and sugar and start whipping the cream.
  • Note: To make whipping cream, keep the bowl and cream in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Next, take a smooth plastic/polythene or parchment paper. Place it on a plain surface.
  • Roll the dough in a rectangular shape on the plastic sheet.
  • Note: Do not roll it very thin.
  • Once rolled into a rectangular shape, put a layer of whipped cream on it.
  • Sprinkle some raisins, almonds and chocolate chips.
  • Now start rolling it carefully with help of plastic sheet.
  • Keep the roll covered with plastic sheet in refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.
  • After 4 hours, cut the roll in equal size.


Serve sweet & simple delicacy to your loved ones!!

Butter Chicken


Butter Chicken or Murgh Makhani, is an Indian dish which is loved by all and personally it's my favourite too.

Rich and smooth gravy, makes the dish Supreme.

Lets begin with the recipe -


Ingredients for Butter Chicken:


For Chicken Marination:
  • Chicken - 300 gms, (Boneless or with Bone, small pieces)
  • Garlic paste - 1.5 tsp
  • Ginger paste - 1.5 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Curd - 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Salt
For Gravy:

  • Oil
  • Tomatoes - 4
  • Onion - 1
  • Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Sugar/Honey - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 tsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Star anise -1 
  • Cloves - 2
  • Black peppercorns - 4
  • Cashew nut- 4
  • Almonds - 3
  • Butter - 2 tsp
  • Cream
  • Water - 1.5 cup
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp

Let's follow the steps:


  • Marinate the chicken pieces with garlic- ginger paste, kashmiri red chilli powder, curd, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder gives a good red colour to the chicken. 
  • Optional - You can use red food colour (2 drops) also instead of Kashmiri red chilli powder.
  • Keep the chicken for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Cut tomatoes into half and remove the seeds. Put the tomatoes in a sauce pan and boil.
  • Once the tomatoes are boiled, peel of the skin and let it cool down.
  • Chop onions roughly and blend it with tomatoes to make a smooth puree.
  • Now make a smooth paste of cashew nuts and almonds too.
  • Optional: You can keep almonds soaked in water for overnight, then peel of the skin and make a paste of almonds.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces. Cook it over medium heat with less oil.
  • Note: Chicken pieces should be properly cooked.
  • Once chicken is cooked, take out the chicken on a kitchen tissue.
  • Now in the same pan, put butter. Before, butter gets burnt, add star anise, cloves, black peppercorns, ginger - garlic paste. Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Then, add the onion - tomato puree and cashew nut - almond paste. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Pour water to the gravy.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, and coriander powder. Mix well. 
  • Put the lid and let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • The colour of the gravy will start changing. If you notice layer of oil in the gravy, sprinkle sugar/honey and also add fresh cream.
  • Cook for more 5 minutes.
  • Lastly, before putting of the flame, add butter - 1 tsp and garam masala.
  • Mix well. Also, add the chicken pieces and cover the pan with a lid,
  • Put off the flame.
  • Serve hot with butter nan or rotis/flat bread.
