Lasagne



Hi Guys, today I am going to share my style recipe of mouth watering Lasagne and believe me it was really very delicious. My friends and family keep asking me to make some more. :)

So, lets begin -

Ingredients for Lasagne Recipe -

For Lasagne layer -

  • Cottage cheese (Paneer) - 250 gms
  • Capsicum - 1 (chopped) 
  • Tomato - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Onion - 2 (finely sliced)
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch (finely chopped)
  • Garlic - 3 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Mushrooms - 200 gms ( chopped)
  • Cabbage - 1/4th portion (finely chopped)
  • Tomato sauce - 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - less than 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Grated cheese
  • Fish / Chicken - 200 gms (sliced)

For White Sauce :

  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Flour (Maida) - 1 tbsp
  • Cheese - 2tbsp
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Black Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp

For Lasagne Sheets :

  • Flour (Maida) - 2 Cups
  • Eggs - 2
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Water

Preparation of Lasagne Sheets -

  • Take 2 cups of flour, put some salt and sift it in a bowl.
  • Add 2 eggs and mix it. Put some water, as required and make a soft dough.
  • Cover the dough with a cloth and keep it aside.
  • After a while, make thin sheets with a thin roller.
  • Cut it into strips and boil it in salt water ( as you boil macaroni/pasta).

Preparation of White Sauce -

  • Take a pan and put 2 tbsp of butter. Once it melts, add flour and mix it.
  • After 1 minute, add milk, salt and black pepper powder. Stir it for a while.
  • Once it starts boiling and grated cheese and mix it properly. 
  • Now, turn off the flame once sauce is thick.

Preparation of Paneer - Veggies -



  • Take a pan and heat 2 tbsp of oil. Fry the small pieces of cottage cheese. 
  • Take out the fried cottage cheese and keep it aside.
  • Add some more oil and put chopped garlic and ginger.
  • Add onions and stir it until light brown. Add cabbage and capsicum and cook it. 
  • Add the mushrooms and lastly tomato and cook it.
  • Add the fried cottage cheese and mix it.
  • Put salt as per taste, red chilly powder, tomato sauce, black pepper powder and mix it properly.
  • Cook it for 5 minutes and its done.











Preparation of Fish/Chicken -

  • Though this time I used fish, but you can choose fish or chicken.
  • Cut fish/ chicken in thin strips and marinate it with ginger garlic paste, salt and chilly powder.
  • Fry the marinated fish/chicken in a pan.

Final Steps To Cook Our Lasagne -

  1. Take a Borosil Bake-ware Bowl and start layering.
  2. At first, make a layer with lasagne sheets.
  3. Then put a layer of the paneer - veggies and give topping of white sauce.
  4. Again, put a layer of lasagne sheets, with fish/chicken fry and topping of white sauce.
  5. Repeat step 3 again. You can make 3-4 layers; as many as layer you want.
  6. Once done, in the final layer, put only a layer of veggies and cover it with grated cheese.
  7. Pre-heat the oven. And bake your lasagne for 25 minutes or until it turns golden in colour.
