Palak/Spinach Soup


Hi Guys,

With chilling and freezing winters everybody needs some hot, tasty and at the same time healthy Soup.

Palak Soup has lots of healthy vegetables and you can enjoy it with hot Momos or boiled noodles.





Ingredients for Palak Soup:

  • Palak/spinach - 1 bowl, roughly chopped
  • Carrots - 1/2 bowl, sliced
  • Tomatoes - 1/2 bowl, chopped
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped
  • Scallions (Onion leaves) - 1/2 bowl, chopped
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch, sliced
  • Butter - 2 tsp
  • Egg white - 1
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper - 1.5 tsp
  • Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water - 4 cups

Let's follow the steps:


  • Wash and cut vegetables.
  • Heat cooker and add butter. Saute garlic and ginger. 
  • Then add onions and all the vegetables. Saute the vegetables.
  • Sprinkle crushed black pepper, Tabasco sauce, salt and sugar. Mix well.
  • Now pour water and cover the cooker with lid.
  • Wait till 2 whistles. 
  • After 2 whistles, remove the lid and maintain a low flame.
  • Put egg white and within 2 minutes stir the soup so that egg white breaks in small pieces.
  • Now serve the hot soup with Momos or else you can put boiled noodles in the soup.

Moong Dal Dosa


Hello Friends!

A Very Happy New Year!

So this new year I am here with easy, quick, healthy and tasty breakfast dish. Let's start with the steps:



Ingredients for Moong Dal Dosa:


  • Moong Dal - 1 cup
  • Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water
  • Chilli powder
  • Oil/Butter

Let's follow the steps:



  • Soak Moong dal and rice separately for atleast 5 hours.
  • Wash the dal and rice and drain water.
  • Make a smooth paste in blender by adding some water.
  • Combine both the paste and mix chilli powder & salt, as per taste.
  • Add more water to make it pouring consistency.
  • Heat pan and brush some oil or butter.
  • Now pour the batter in the centre of the pan and quickly spread (clockwise) with round serving spoon.
  • Add more drops of oil or butter in the sides of dosa and on the top of dosa.
  • Wait till it gets crisped then turn the dosa.
  • Your crisp dosa is ready.
  • Serve it with peanut chutney.
For Peanut Chutney:

  • Fry the peanuts on a flat pan without oil till peanuts turn light brown.
  • Remove the skin of the peanuts.
  • Take a small jar of mixer, add green chilli, onion (optional), salt, peanuts and water.
  • Make a paste and take it out in a bowl
  • Heat oil, add mustard seeds and green curry leaves and pour on the peanut chutney and mix it.
  • Peanut chutney is ready.


Serve Crisp Dosa to your loved ones!

Stuffed Bread


Hot, Fresh and Crisped Home made Bread stuffed with onions, garlic and lots of cheese.

Lets start with the steps:


Ingredients for Stuffed Bread:


  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Dry yeast - 2 tsp
  • Milk - 1 cup, lukewarm
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Butter - 50 gm
  • Egg - 1
  • Salt, as per taste

For Filling:

  • Cheese, grated - 1 bowl
  • Onions - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 5- 6 cloves, chopped
  • Coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • Black pepper powder

Let's follow the steps:





  • In a bowl sift flour and add beaten egg,butter, sugar, salt, yeast and half of the milk.
  • Wait for 2 minutes, so that yeast gets activated.
  • Now mix all the ingredients and keep adding milk as required to knead a soft dough.
  • Keep the dough covered with a wet cloth for 45 min to 1 hour.
  • You will see a rise in the dough.
  • Now again knead the dough for 5 minutes. Take a portion of the dough.
  • Roll it in a plain surface. 
  • Put onions, garlic, coriander leaves, cheese and sprinkle pepper powder in the middle.
  • Now as shown in the picture, cut the sides of the flatten bread and design it like a braid.
  • Beat another egg, and brush egg on the bread. Keep the bread in a flat bowl.
  • Take a cooker, remove the whistle and put salt in the bottom of the cooker.
  • Place a stand and on that stand keep the bowl with stuffed bread.
  • Bake it for 40 minutes at low flame till golden brown and slight crisp.
  • Keep checking the bread after 20 minutes, to avoid over bake.
  • You can also bake it in oven at 220°C for 15 - 20 minutes.

Suji Cake (Semolina)



Hi Friends!!

So in India, there are lots of festivals coming around in the next few months. And you can make this quick, tasty and healthy sweet for your loved ones.

Lets start with the preparation.



Ingredients for Suji Cake:


  • Suji (Semolina) - 1.5 cups,
  • Sugar - 1 cup, powdered
  • Butter - 30 - 40 gms
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Almonds, sliced
  • Raisins
  • Salt, a pinch

Let's follow the steps:





  • Take a bowl and put suji (semolina), sugar, salt, baking powder, cardamom powder and butter. Mix well.
  • Next add, curd and mix well. Pour milk and make a cake batter.
  • Add and mix all the dry fruits.
  • Keep the cake batter for 30 to 40 minutes. 
  • After 40 minutes the batter will soak the milk, add more milk to make the batter light. (Just like cake batter).
  • Take cooker without whistle and put salt in the bottom of the cooker. Keep a stand and on that stand place the cake bowl.
  • Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes. Check by pricking a toothpick if it comes clean that your cake is done.


Cut the cake in small pieces and serve your loved ones!!

Tomato Soup with Bread sticks


Tomato Soup is the first soup I knew and of course it is favourite of all.

Cooked with fresh tomatoes, and cream enriches the sweet and sour taste.



Ingredients for Potato Souffle:


  • Tomatoes - 4, roughly chopped
  • Onions - 2, sliced
  • Garlic - 4 to 5 cloves, chopped
  • Carrot - 1, sliced
  • Black pepper corn - 5
  • Sugar - 1.5 tsp
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Water, as required
  • Cornflour (optional)
  • Cream - 1 tbsp
Bread Sticks:

  • Cut thin stripes of bread and brush with butter on each side.
  • Bake it at 200°C for 15 minutes till crisped.

Let's follow the steps:


  • Heat oil and butter in a pan.
  • Add chopped garlic. Also, add onions and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Now add carrots and roughly chopped tomatoes and cook till soft.
  • Add black pepper corn.
  • Pour water and cook for more 5 minutes.
  • Once done, turn off the flame and let the tomatoes cool down.
  • Separate the extra water and keep aside.
  • Pour the tomatoes in a mixer and make a smooth puree.
  • Now again heat the pan and add the tomato puree in the pan. Also, add salt and black pepper powder. 
  • Pour the extra soup water which was kept separated.
  • You can add cornflour mixed in a 2 tbsp of water for making the soup thick.
  • Lastly, add sugar and cream for a smooth texture.
  • Serve hot with bread sticks.

Potato Souffle


Souffle is a egg based dish, very light, heavy and palatable.

Potato Souffle is very easy to bake and I have used cooker for baking it.



Lets start with the steps:

Ingredients for Potato Souffle:


  • Potatoes - 4, medium sized
  • Egg - 2
  • Cheese - 1 bowl, grated
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bowl, chopped
  • Salt
  • Oregano
  • Chilli flakes
  • Bread crumbs
  • Butter
  • Onions - 1, chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, chopped
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch, chopped
  • Black pepper powder

Let's follow the steps:



  • Boil the potatoes and mash it.
  • Take a pan, add butter and saute garlic, ginger and onions.
  • Add sauteed ginger, garlic, onions, and coriander leaves to the mashed potatoes.
  • Sprinkle salt, chilli flakes, black pepper powder, and oregano.
  • Also, add grated cheese. Mix well.
  • Now separate egg yolk and white and put egg yolks to the mashed potatoes.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff and foamy.
  • Add the beaten egg whites to the mashed potatoes and again with the help of a spatula mix it slowly.
  • Take a baking bowl, grease it with butter and sprinkle bread crumbs to every corner of the bowl.
  • Now pour the mixture in the bowl.
  • In a pressure cooker, put salt - 1 cup and place a stand inside the cooker.
  • Heat the cooker for 5 minutes and then place the bowl on the stand.
  • Cover it with the lid. (Do not use whistle.)
  • Bake it for 25 - 30 minutes at low flame.
  • Once it gets golden brown color, let it cool down and take it out of the bowl with the help of a knife.

2 in 1 Phirni


Phirni is a rice pudding, very creamy, chilled and delicious.

Phirni is loved by almost everybody in India. 

2 in 1 Phirni consists of two types of Phirni in one bowl. Lets start with this recipe, to cook a lovely Phirni.

Ingredients for 2 in 1 Phirni:


  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Milk - 1 Litre
  • Condensed Milk - 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Almonds, sliced
  • Cashew nuts, sliced
  • Palm jaggery - 100 gms
  • Earthen pots, to serve

Let's follow the steps:


  • Soak the rice for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Drain out water and crush the rice in a grinder. (coarse paste of rice)
  • Take a deep sauce-pans. Pour 500 ml milk in the pan and boil it.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Add half of coarse rice paste and sliced almonds. Keep stirring the milk.
  • Cook for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Once the rice gets boiled, add condensed milk and mix well.
  • Lastly, add cardamom powder and mix well till milk thickens and gets creamy. 
  • Bring it down and let it cool.
  • Take another sauce-pan, pour 500 ml of milk.
  • Bring it to a boil and stir occasionally.
  • After 5 minutes, add half cup of coarse rice paste and keep stirring the milk.
  • Cook for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Once the rice gets boiled, add palm jaggery and mix well till it gets melted.
  • If required, add more jaggery as per taste.
  • Cook the Phirni till it gets creamy and thick.
  • Let it cool.
  • Now take earthen pots, pour half Phirni of condensed milk and on other half pour Phirni of Palm Jaggery.
  • Garnish it with Cashew nuts and refrigerate it.
Serve chilled Phirni.
