Ingredients for Capsi-Rice -
- Rice - 1 cup
- Capsicum - 1
- Tomato - 1(finely chopped
- Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
- Green Chilly - 1
- Garlic - 6 (finely chopped)
- Ginger - 1 inch (finely chopped)
- Almond paste
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds
- Cumin powder
- Coriander powder
- Meat masala
- Cinnamon
- Cloves - 3
- Cardamom -1
- Bay leaf - 1
- Black Pepper - 4
- Turmeric powder
- Chilly powder
- Oil
- Salt, as per taste
- Cornflour
- Water
Lets cook it up =>
For the chutney:
- Heat oil in a pan. Put garlic, ginger, & green chilly; fry it.
- Add onions and tomato. Fry it well till soft.
- Add almond paste, salt, chilly powder and mix well.
- Add water and boil.
- Once it gets bit dry, put some sugar and mix.
- Chutney is cooked.
- Cook rice in a pot.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, cumin seeds, cloves and black pepper.
- Then, add green chilly, garlic, ginger and onions. Cook it well.
- Add remaining 1 tsp of almond paste and all masala - coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, chilly powder meat masala, and salt. Mix and cook it well.
- Lastly, add rice and mix well. Sprinkle little water and cover the pan with a lid.
- After 5 minutes, open the lid and mix one more time.
- Rice is ready. Keep it covered with lid.
Capsicum:
- Take a capsicum and gently cut the top in a round shape to make it hollow inside.
- Keep the cut out part. Clean the capsicum from inside, make space by letting your one finger inside.
- Then, put the prepared rice into the hollow capsicum. Stuff it as much as you can.
- Now put the cut out part again to its place and fix it with a little dough.
- Take a bowl, add cornflour, water and salt. Make a batter.
- Put the capsicum in the batter and cover it with batter.
- In a pan, heat oil and fry the capsicum at low flame, so that it gets cooked.
Your Capsi-Rice is cooked!
